Launcher crashes during patching.

I've been having some issues getting the game running.

Tried a few things, re installing .net new accounts etc, but no joy.

Getting in line to connect (Launcher)

Whenever I push play on the Launcher it just says Getting in line to connect then closes

I open launcher
Login
Select world
Push play
see Getting in line to connect for a second :mad:

I think it is because of the update as I was able to play earlier on this year on the same laptop, would it be because of Windows 8.1?

Unable to use path

Hello guys.
I'm trying to coming back to lotro, but every time i try to install the client i get an error message "unable to use path".
I've tried to install it in both my system Hard drive and my second one and aways get this error.
I looked all over this forum and google but coudn't find a solution.
Can anyone please help me with this?

Post 12.1 patch, game freezes with in the first minute of play.

Since the 12.1 patch, after logging in and the character gets loaded, I will walk around in the game and it will freeze and the screen goes blank usually within a minute. Completely unplayable. Updated graphic drivers, no change. Was working fine before 12.1. Anyone else experiencing this?

Does LOTRO support Windows 8?

Hello all,
This question may have been asked in previous threads, but I could only find ones talking about 8.1 freezing issues. I have a new system arriving on Monday and I wanted to know:

a) Will I be able to simply transfer the LOTRO game files on my current system through an external hard drive to my new system?
b) Is LOTRO supported on Windows 8.1 and if so, are there any know issues?

Alright, so the latest expansion for lotro has been live now for over a month, and still I can't get into the game. I had it uninstalled for a while and did other things, played other games, I have waited patiently for maybe an update to fix this issue, but it persists. I have just spent the last 2 and a half hours waiting for the pando media booster to download the game, and another half hour waiting for the extraction point, only to start the client up hoping against hope that it works after the initialising, only for it to fail. Is there someone out there who can help me? Is anyone reading this? I want to play the game, I want to play the game. I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME. TURBINE THREAD MODERATORS, HELP ME!!!!!

Seriously. This is not a joke at all, you may well loose a loyal fan, Turbine. I don't know how much more patient and forgiving I can be. My computer is more than capable on a technical standing to play this game, I was riding about in the estemnet on my warsteeds, in very high graphics, with no issues at all and I can play other online games well enough. But I want to play lotro. I keep on getting "an update error occurred" I use a BT homehub so there is no instability with the connection, my PC has an AMD dual core AB processor [from 2012] and I have an adequate though not amazing 1 GB radeon GFX card, my Ram is good, 8gb, and I have a 2 TB hard drive, not to mention many other things that should make running this game and updating it easy. FYI I play Rift sometimes, which is MORE taxing than lotro is on my PC yet I have no issues with that in so far as patching and client. [or at all for that matter] Help me, I do not understand why the game client keeps failing to update the game. I am stuck.

I downloaded the game this morning, and double-clicked the icon to open the game. Nothing works! I dclick, literally nothing happens. I was super excited to play this game..

Switching CPU load to GPU

Hello i just upgraded my pc and now i'm trying to optimize things in lotro. I run 12 clients on my pc with 11 on very low and stuff disabled, with a framerate limit to 24 fps. And 1 on ~medium with some things disabled and some things a bit higher with 60 fps limit that matches my monitors refresh rate.

The problem i have is that my CPU usage is around 97% while the GPU load is only about 30%.

Is there a way to make lotro use more of the GPU rather then CPU? Maybe increasing certain settings will lower CPU usage and adding more to GPU?

just patched unto 16th december patch and now whenever i try to log in to a server, i get blue screened/whole thing shuts down with this response. Wasn't happening before patch. And now that message pops up upon pc launch, any ideas? or do i have to hang up my spider legs after 6 years ? =/

Hello.

I haven't logged in for several days until today. I fired up the launcher, then it goes through patching. (for Yule Festival I suppose) I log in, then after the first loading screen I get a black page with "Error, cannot patch!" on it.

Any way to fix this or do I just have to wait for a while longer and try again?

Patchclient problem

I don't know if this was posted before.
Ok, so I'm new here and I just started to install LOTRO( play instantly) and the game has downloaded to the part where I can start playing. Now here goes the problem: when I open the launcher something starts loading(en loading sreen 1,...) and then appears this message in the launcher:
"An update error occurred: Failed to load patchclient(Cannot load library patchclient: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.)"
What can I do to make it work?

p.s. if I wrote something wrong it's because I don't speak english in everyday life

Characters Disappeared

Hi there,
So, I made a LOTRO account a while back (probably a little over a year ago) but I had a lot of work to do so I uninstalled so that I could concentrate on real life affairs... but today I decided to install the game again but my characters have disappeared. I wouldn't be so bothered if I had not spent some (not a lot) of money on the account. My question is... is it possible to recover these characters? I presume they were wiped because I was so inactive but I hope I can get my rune-keeper back xD
I only remember one of the characters names: Dirlin
He was a Dwarf Rune-Keeper (possibly around level 20-30) but I did have two other characters, an elf hunter and a man lore-master(?)
I don't know if that information helps.

Turbine Launcher Minimizes

After starting my launcher, I reach the screen which states: "Content download complete!" and then the launcher minimizes to my taskbar. Mousing over the LOTRO icon on the taskbar shows the login screen, but there is no way to pull it up. Alt-tab, etc. does not work to pull up the launch screen so that I may log in.

Note that I have totally uninstalled and reinstalled LOTRO and the problem persists.

The problem began out of the blue and I connected post-patch a few times without incident. But now I have no way of logging in.

Would appreciate any help,

Extraction failed

Hello, A friend has a problem and needs some help, she doesn´t speak english so i'll be the one translating.

Problem: After donwloading the game, tells her ''Unable to find a volume for file extraction. Please verify you have proper permissions''. And she has to download a component (''Microsoft visual c+++ 2005'') and after she downloads that, still says the same mesage.
She is loged as admin in her Pc. And firewalls are off.

Does anybody know what to do next?

Stuck and unable to log into my character after using return to bree ability

I am having some trouble in game my character a level 56 captain named iororaen on elendilmir got stuck somehow when I used return to bree and the area will not load closed the game will still not load but log into another character in bree and game loads fine....... Is the return to bree ability bugged or something or is my character just stuck now???? :confused::confused::confused:

msvcr100.dll - Dynamic Library

Hello all. Today I tried to replace msvcr100.dll for an other application. It didn't let me change because of msvcr100 was in use. So I found that app in task manager and shut it. It was something like SQL Read. And now I got msvcr100.dll in my system32 folder but get this error while launching some programs includes Lotro. What should I do? Thanks.

Cannot load into the Delving Fields.

If someone else is experiencing this and knows the fix please let me know.
I had my main toon at the winter festival and quick traveled by stable to Michel Delving. During the load in, I lost connection to the server and have not been able to load into that character since, I think its been about 5 or 6 days now.
I attempted to load another character that was parked in Michel Delving, and the same issue, would not load.
All characters outside of Delving load just fine.
I took one from Esteldin to Delving on horse and as soon as I crossed into the Delving Fields, I lost connection to the server and am unable to load that character.
There isnt any part that loads, The load bar remains completely empty.
If anyone has any ideas it would be very appreciated.

Missing quests!

I stopped playing some time ago and now I comed back, everything is fine with the gameplay and graphics, but I noticed that all my epic quests have disapeared, I only have the Dwarven Prologue as a quest and I'm a Hunter, soo...where the hell are my book 3 quasts, those in the north?, NEED URGENTLY HELP PLS :(
