Can't find the LOTRO folder.

As the title says, I can't find the LOTRO folder on a Windows 7 computer that is 32bit, I'm currently trying to copy the copy of LOTRO on my Windows 7 computer to my Windows 8.1 computer, and I can't find the folder to transfer it over...
So could any of you (awesome) people please tell me where to find the folder.
ALSO!: I don't know why but the folder is hidden or something (windows 7 computer), I have been looking for over 2-ish hours now... anyone know why or where it would be hidden?

Thank you for reading this, I hope it gets answered! Thanks again!

Windows 8.1, Lotro only using integrated graphics.

Today I decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1 on my MSI GT70 GTX 680M laptop. I have re-installed lotro, but I can't seem to get it to launch using the discrete graphix. It is slow as heck and only shows options for DX9, so it's ignoring the GTX 680M. I have added lotroclient.exe to the NVIDIA control panel, but it never seems to stick. Whenever I launch lotro, it resets back to integrated graphics.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank-you!

EDIT: Well, I found a setting in the userpreference.ini called Display Adapter=0 I changed that to 1 and then on next launch I got a pop-up saying that my system was capable of DirectX 11, etc...so I said yes. But it's still slow as molasses and I am sure it is not using the discrete graphics still.

When I go to NVIDIA Control panel, I can't seem to add anything other than lotroclient.exe, and even then it won't keep the setting to use the nvidia card. If I close the panel and re-open it, it is always just back to auto-integrated..

Borderless Windowed, Fake Full Screen still not possible?

I searched the forum a little and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. Rather than spending too much time searching and not finding what I need, I'll just ask. Is it STILL not possible to play LOTRO in fake full screen mode? What I am referring to is having the game run in what appears to be full screen mode, but it's set to windowed mode in the options. The reason for this is because I use two monitors and I need to be able to move my mouse from the game window over to the second monitor to access another program in that second window like a media player or web browser. Many games support this, and I've been able to find workarounds for most games that do not support it, like Skyrim. WoW supports it natively I believe.

I've tried workarounds and when I can get something to work, the mouse cursor becomes off-target. I have to aim the mouse cursor above the button that I'm trying to click, presumably due to some resolution issue. I was barely able to get an ini option (ConfineFullScreenMouseCursor= True) to work a little, but the cursor won't reactivate inside LOTRO when I move back into the game. That ini option seems to be perfect in that it allows true full screen and lets me move the cursor to the second monitor, but I can't get it to refocus back into LOTRO. It's as if the mouse cursor is clicking through the LOTRO window and activating the desktop underneath. This is also evident by the cursor graphics changing to the standard windows cursor when I move out and click on something like a web browser, then when I move back to LOTRO the cursor does NOT change back to the LOTRO cursor; it remains as the Windows cursor.

I've been thinking about resubscribing. Seeing the new Hobbit movies has gotten me interested in LOTRO again. However, if this functionality is still broken or missing, then I'm not going to resubscribe. It's too much of a nuisance for me.

Win 8.1 - Error 105 - Crash After One Click

Okay so I finally finished downloading this game after finally upgrading computers to a new laptop. Only problem is, when I launch it asks me if I want to use DirectX-11 because my laptop is capable. Even if I click yes or no it gives me 'Could not enumerate directx, make sure directx 9 or higher is installed'. Then I click okay whatever and it still loads the company logos and I can even get to the character creation screen but if I even click once it crashes to desktop. I know it's not my hardware and I've tried repair, changing graphics settings, everything.

Client Closes But Still Runs | Not Working

By this I mean that the game simply isn't working.

I recently got the game because I was told it was a fairly good game. I just finished downloading the files required to play the game. I then signed in and chose a world. That's when everything stopped working. It showed the loading screen for about 3 seconds then the game closed. However, it didn't crash, the sounds still played and it still showed in my task bar. I continued to open the game multiple times and it still did the same thing. After a few seconds the game will close out while still running in the background.

Before the game launched, the message appeared where it asked if I wanted to use DirectX11, to which I selected yes. I've tried resetting the game display options, which also doesn't work.

Also, when I choose a world and the game launches, this message pops up. http://s1249.photobucket.com/user/Co...tml?sort=3&o=0

I'm just looking to have a good time and have fun. Please help.

Many issues ingame !!

Hi, i've recently decided to re install LOTRO, because i love this game. I installed it by Steam.

First of all, i'm not english so, sorry if my English is not perfect, but i try !

So, i have many issues ingame.

Firstly : When I launch the game, just past the launcher, it launches the game, but i have a black screen for about 30 seconds. Just after this, game is loading, but i must have a 30 sec black screen.

What would it be ? I don't know.

Secondly, when playing, it sometimes back to the desktop, i don't know why. This is annoying.

To finish, the best : Sometimes it seems my keyboard and mouse don't respond anymore. I can move my character, but i can't use keymaps, and my mouse seems to bug. I must go back to the desktop, and get back ingame to resolve it. It happens very often and this is the most annoying bug.

Does anyone know a solution ?

Thanks

PS : Sometimes, music ingame just stops looping, this is annoying. In Rivendell, this is the same thing : no music...

Can't Launch Game

I just downloaded LOTRO and was able to launch the game after it was finished, but the picture went black after I clicked on the last class. It didn't happen when I clicked between Human, Elf, Dwarf, or Hobbit, just the last class. The music was still playing, so I tried closing the window, which didn't work. I restarted my laptop, which fixed the not being able to x out of it. I was able to get to the server select screen, but when I tried joining, it said that I didn't have Direct X installed. It said click yes to continue, which I did, but that didn't do anything. So I tried getting back to the server select menu, but it says the game launch process has already started. Did I mess something up or is it normal? A walk through to be able to play would be helpful.

Thanks,

Constant bird chirping noise.

When traveling outdoors in Bree Land I hear a bird chirping noise which is all fine and dandy, cant get a bit irritating when its the same looped sound no matter where I am, could be deep in a forest or in Bree.

However when I enter a cave or building the chirping is still present. I've looked at my audio settings and worked out if I lower my sound effects settings it gets rid of it (I though it would be ambient sounds but that did nothing). I'd like to keep my sound effect settings high so Is there anyway to disable the chirping by deleting a soundfile outside the game?

Thanks.

Major LOTRO connection issue

I have been a LOTRO player for nearly 2 years now. But up to about 3 months ago, when i moved and got a new ISP, i have been unable to successfully connect to LOTRO. I connect to the internet with a Netgear cgd24g router and my ISP is TWC (Time Warner Cable). I recently hooked in a wi-fi router. Now I have tried everything to make a successful connection. Port forwarding, change my user preferences in the ini file to port 9000, change "No Proxy" in the LOTRO options panel, made the LOTRO apps allowable thru my firewall, all kinds of stuff. Yet no success! After the character login and the game is trying to load into the game server it will eventually disconnect me from the internet all together and eventually say 'lost connection to server'. I have a friend close by that has a different ISP, i can connect fine there, as well as a public wi-fi at McDonalds (also a diff ISP then TWC). I have spoke to the tech support at TWC and they swear they do NOT block modem ports or anything that would disallow me access to LOTRO. I have loaded other MMO's, WOW, Everquest, and Star Trek Online and have no problems at all. I cant understand this problem!!! Is there anyone out there that could help with this issue?!

I log in, hit enter, splash screen appears, written gubbins at the bottom, then a black screen with the message A critical resource could not be loaded from the dat files!

All was fine yesterday, and, apart from the exit-Frostbluff-theatre crash, has been for months.
Nothing changed or added to my computer between sessions.

Installation Problem C++ Vista platform

I have found several threads regarding what to do to fix the installation error/launcher error that I keep encountering regarding the C++ 2010 message. I have tried to download C++ but the installation window appears to complete and then disappear, then I try the installation (which has yet to complete) via the launcher and get two errors. The first is a pop-up which just reads, "Internal Error, please contact customer support". When I close it, the launcher closes. If I don't close it, I get the a different pop-up. This error reads "TurbineLauncher has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Then, some of the time, it will go to MS download window with C++ 2010.

The second error is on the launch screen behind the error pop-up I mentioned above. It just reads "Failed to initialize or install Akamai netsession interface. Reason [5]".

I have tried reinstalling the program. I have tried removing the .dll files (as suggested in one forum post). I have tried downloading the C++ download (it errors). I don't know how to get past this for Windows Vista.

Lotro doesn't start the first time but starts after the first

I try to start Lotro. It loads the login client I sign in and choose a server and hit enter...Nothing happens to load the game client. I look in the task manager and see a lotroclient(32) in there. I try to end task but it will not be removed. I can run two more clients that open the game client so when I look in task manager I see 3 lotroclient(32) in there. I know two are valid and that one though is uses less memory than the other two its still there until I either reboot or shut down. How is this possible now after 8 years of playing this is the first time I have seen it?

How do I move the game files from my tired C: hdd to my flash flash without deleting and downloading again? Just copy/paste and try it out? I have a vague recollection I was unable to install LOTRO where I wanted - but that was on a different system and it may even have been a different game that I remember...
